PE

We had a visit from a group a Nike executives from America! The children got to look at several trainers, that aren't due for release until next year. They also discussed their jobs and asked many questions about shoes. The Nike group also asked the children's opinions about the shoes that they were going to take back to their boss! 

Such an amazing experience!!

We've done it again!! 

For the second year running, Chorley St Peter's have won Chorley School Sports Participation award!! 

 

WELL DONE EVERYONE! 

 

We also came 2nd place for the Fair Play award, which is an amazing achievement. Shows just how well mannered and polite our children are.

We have been awarded Sainsburys School Games Silver award in recognition for the PE we do in school and the clubs and competitions after school.

Year 6 have successfully completed Level 2 Bikeability - they used their improved cycling skills on the road.

We are taking part in the 'Rounders League' this term! Well done!

Today, four of our children got the opportunity to meet and take part in a running session with Steve Cram!

Well done to our squash team who came third in the competition this week.

Well done to all the children who took part in the cross country event!

Some year 6 children took part in level 1 bike ability this week to gain more confidence on their bikes. The rest of year 6 will be offered level 2 bike ability in the summer term.

Chorley SSP came in and delivered a lesson on culture to year 5 children. We are currently working on a sports pledge from this....watch this space for the finished ones!

Please find attached the Fair Play Charter in which children, staff, parents, Mrs Wright and Chorley School Sports Partnership have agreed to in creating a sporting ethos at competitions.

Athletics Heats Year5/6 team! Our team came 1st in their heat! Fantastic!

This half term, class 2 are very lucky as they have Miss Walls, a coach for Chorley School Sports Partnership, teaching the children ‘FUN-damental skills’.  The children had lots of fun in their first session. Here are some photographs showing some of the activities they did.

Bikeability!

On Wednesday, Bikeability came into school! The children in class 2 had lots of fun cycling and learning balance and control. There were pedals or stabilisers so the children really had to concentrate on what they were doing!
