Geography

During home schooling, we have been learning about The Lake District. We have used different sources, including digimaps, to find out about this beautiful part of the UK and the impact of tourism.

Simon has used digimaps to locate The Lake District.

Simon has created an amazing leaflet about the Lake District.

We have been learning about the world and can name the imaginary lines on the globe - the Equator, lines of longitude and latitude and the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. We talked about the weather in the tropics and then wrote and presented our own weather forecasts.

We have used the large floor map to reinforce our learning about the world.

We have been learning about the symbols used on ordnance survey maps.

We have used digimaps to locate the county of Lancashire and its coastline. We also located Chorley and other familiar places. We pinpointed and labelled them.
