Today In Birch class, we wanted to investigate the best material to use to make a coat for "Jack".
We used tissue, tinfoil, paper and plastic. The children wrote a prediction about which material would work best. We then tested all the materials by pouring water on to a figure. We learnt that tissue and paper are not effective as the figure got wet and ripped and tin foil and plastic were the most effective as they are waterproof.
