Our Celt tribal Kings and Queens were ready for a Roman invasion. We learned that some tribal leaders got to keep their crown, but only if they let the Romans take over their land.  Other leaders, who fought back, had their crown taken from them, or were killed.  We discovered the Roman conquest took place over a long period of time.  They did not take over Britain in one fell swoop.
