Anne Frank

We arrived in class to find a package on the table, which said 'Happy 13th Birthday Anne, Lots of Love'.  Once unwrapped, we discovered it was a diary which had some clues to help us reflect on who the owner of the diary was and what kind of person they might have been.
We looked closely at photographs of the annexe where Anne and her family hid during the war.  We then worked with our group to think of expanded noun phrases which could describe the place.
Fabulous writing inspired by our text 'Anne Frank'....
