Chinese New Year

This week class one have a very busy week. The children are going to learn all about Chinese New Year. The class role play has changed into a Chinese take away. Throughout the week the children will learn lots of new facts about China, how they celebrate the New Year, rituals they have, legends, food they eat and lots more. On Friday we will be grateful to try Chinese food along with the other reception classes - we hope the children enjoy it!!! Today in class one we have spoken about why Chinese people clean their houses ready for the New Year. We cleaned and decorated our dolls house using the colours red and gold. We have also made Chinese lanterns which the children will bring home on Friday! We have a fun filled week ahead with lots of learning about Chinese New Year including the Chinese culture, but let's not forget Pancake Tuesday tomorrow!!!! :) Pictures will be added throughout the week!! We hope you enjoy looking at what Class one have been up to with their learning!
