Seasons and the Weather

In Autumn, the leaves in the trees change colour and begin to fall off. Nuts and fruits are ready to be harvested. We know that acorns grow on oak trees and confers grow on horse chestnut trees. Animals collect food ready for the winter and the weather becomes a little cooler. Also, the days are shorter which means that it goes dark sooner.

We went on a walk to look for the signs of Autumn and took photos with the iPad.

We watched a weather forecast and talked about the symbols that they use for each of the weather types. We created our own weather maps and then read our weather report to our friends.
