Maths No Problem

In pairs that children were shown a part of a shape and asked these two questions:

What shape could it be?

What shape can’t it be?

They also had to justify why it could or it couldn’t.

A little bit more of the shape was then revealed and the same two questions were asked.

The full shape was then shown to the class. We discussed what shape it was and its name. We also discussed that it was an irregular pentagon.
