Religious Education

To start off our RE topic we looked at 'The Big Frieze' and identified the key concepts. We then looked at different Holy books and shared our knowledge.

Why not ask your child about the 8 key concepts of 'The Big Frieze' ?

Thursday 8th October 2020

Today we looked at 6 different title for the Bible.

The Living Bible

The Good News Bible

The Holy Bible

My Very First Bible

The Adventure Bible

The Children’s Bible

As a class, we ordered these titles by preference. We decided that The Children's Bible is more appealing to us because of the pictures and the stories that are easier to understand.

Maple class were shown this quote and asked to discuss what they thought it meant …

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

 2 Timothy 3:16-17

As a class we decided that the words were difficult to understand.

Maple class then took on the challenge of re-writing the quote so that any child, who read it, would understand it.

We came up with this…

“All words are from God and are useful for teaching, learning and helping make the right decision, so that we may live our lives through our Christian Values”

(Maple class 2020)
