Science

Our visitor from Bright Sparks came in to teach us all about electricity. We investigated circuits, switches and conductors and insulators. We also learned about how to stay safe when using electricity.

We learned all about water with a special visitor from United Utlities. We explored the water cycle, the importance of water and how we can preserve the most precious gift we have... water!

We mimicked the function of the digestive system to explore how food travels through our bodies - we had lots of messy fun!

Fair and comparative testing - we wanted to investigate the effects of liquids on our teeth. We worked in teams to decide what liquids to compare and we set up our investigations using eggs to act in place of teeth enamel. We made predictions and we will find out what happens over time.

Smile!!!! Today we worked together to make teeth using polymer and red moulding clay. We had to work fast though before it set. Great fun!

Teeth! We started our investigation into teeth by having a good old look at our own first!

“Yes, it’s science!”
