St Peter's Antiques Roadshow

Beech class had a great time taking part in the St Peter's Antiques Roadshow.  We received some very interesting antiques from home and Miss Brown shared some fascinating finds from the past with us too.  We used our enquiry skills to make hypotheses for what the historical artefacts might have been used for and who might have used them.  We also had to decide which artefact might be the oldest/most modern/most valuable and sorted them into what we thought the chronological order might be.

“Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into are awake through years with transferred touch, and go on glowing for long years. And for this reason, some old things are lovely warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.”
