RE/Worship

As part of Holy Week, we have been reflecting on a painting by an artist called Sieger Koder. The artwork is called 'The Last Supper' and we were able to spot many clues in the painting left by the artist.  We reflected on the colours used by the artist and thought about why the only light is coming from the table where there is an outline of a cross.  We had some super observations and reflections.

RE posed a challenging question this week (our Dive Deeper question). We had to think about how the Bible could help people during the pandemic. Mrs McBride is very proud of the way that we thought about and answered the question. We also found lots of ways that Christian values are being shown at this difficult time.

RE Understanding Christianity. We have been looking at the frieze rnore closely to see if we can recognise any stories or teachings from the Bible. We worked in groups and found many images that we recognised.

We have been reading a book called 'Bloom' by Anne Booth, which is about a little girl who cared for a flower.  She taught an old man in the story how important it is to love and care for others.  We discussed what we need to bloom and grow in life. We went to the outdoor classroom to recreate some of the words we discussed in worship using natural materials.
