English

Learning to spell the fun way. We played spelling splatter to help us learn how to spell tricky words.

During English we have been retelling the story of the Gingerbread man, we made our own class Gingerbread man and wrote the instructions! We then discovered that he Gingerbread man had ran away from the school kitchen!!

We worked together to write adjectives to describe the places that the Gingerbread man had visited in Chorley.

The children wrote questions that they would like to ask the Gingerbread man on his return. They then took turns in the hot seat in the role of the Gingerbread man.

Today we started our new topic! We are looking at the text ‘I want my hat back’. We played a game to see if we could guess which hat our friend was thinking about by asking questions using our question words.
