KS2 were visited by the NSPCC.  Tom and Jan spoke to us about the rights of a child- the right to speak out and be heard, to be safe and to get help when we need it.   We had to think about worries we might have and Tom demonstrated using bricks and a sack how worries can build up and weigh heavy on our minds.  We then thought about who we could speak to, which would help with our worries.  Speaking to someone and sharing our worries can really help to lighten the load!  Tom explained that Childline is a service for to help children.  You can ring them 24/7 and they are there to listen and offer advice. No problem is too big or too small!

We listened to the story of 'The Ugly Duckling' and discussed the feelings of the duckling throughout the story. We did 'Freeze Frames' to show the feelings at different points in the story.

We have been thinking about how we show respect, consideration and politeness to others. We acted out different scenarios to show how we should behave in certain situations.
