Developing our skills in different athletic disciplines

We have had a super first week back. Here we are after running our last lap in our school relay in memory of Sir Tom Moore.

Around the World Orienteering

We have now finished the dance that we have been working on this half term. We are very proud of it!

Five laps of our track to run a mile certainly gets our heart rates up!

Beech class took part in a circuit assessment with Chorley Sports Partnership.  We were exhausted by the end with all the fast-paced activities we took part in!
Beech class displayed fabulous teamwork skills today in their orienteering sessions for PE. Today was our practice session, but next week we are going to be timed as part of a competition across different schools.

Our first challenge is to beat the other Year 5 children in Maple class (any children who had Miss Stephens last year will know how competitive she is!!!)

In our PE sessions we have been developing our fundamental skills of running, hopping, throwing and jumping.
