History

Explorers

We have been learning about significant and famous Explorers. We can tell you all about Christopher Columbus, Captain Scott, Neil Armstrong and Alyssa Azar. They all explored extreme places and showed great strength and perseverance.

We imagined that we were Columbus and wrote messages in bottles explaining how we were feeling on our exploration.

Alyssa Azar was the youngest person to climb and explore Mount Everest. She had to wear warm, waterproof clothing and use oxygen to help her breathe on the summit. We dressed Oliver in some of the clothes she might have worn.

Spreading the Word

As part of our home learning, we have been finding out about William Caxton to understand why he is a significant person.
