Maths No Problem

Playing games to help us consolidate our times table facts.

Base 10 to deepen our learning of decimals

We used base 10 to represent tenths, hundredths and thousandths. We have made the smallest and largest numbers with apparatus.

We played ‘Exchange Game’ to explore what happens when we cross over from thousandths to hundredths.

Using our place value counters to work out numbers that are 1000, 10,000 and 100,000 less than a number.
Today we started to work with our new partners. We immediately have learnt from one another. Eli taught the whole class that putting our counters in columns would help everyone be able to understand large numbers to 100,000. Great advice!
