75th Anniversary VE Day

Friday 8th May marks 75 years since VE day as the United Kingdom remembers the end of WW2 in Europe.  As this day has fallen whilst school is closed to most children, some of our pupils have managed to carry out some super home school learning to find out more about what VE day actually is and why we remember it.
Elizabeth has been learning all about VE Day and her great grandad, who was a soldier.  She has his medals and his photo in her window at home.

Simon in Year 3 wrote a poem which considered VE Day in 1945 and today.

Our keyworker children celebrated VE day in school.....
KS1 were very busy at home with their VE day learning activities.......
