Peace Be With You

WHOLE SCHOOL PROJECT - Inspired by contemporary artist, Mark Hearld, the whole school have celebrated the spirit of God as symbolised by a dove. Our birds are murmurising in the hall! We have used lots of techniques throughout the school; printing, printing from textures, oil pastels, chalk pastels, watercolour and collage.

HWATHORN CLASS - Layer 2, collage with tissue paper, worked into with pastel, pen and more watercolour.

We've had a lovely time in Chestnut today, learning about the feel of watercolours and how we can experiment with different techniques, such as the  “wet in wet” effect and splatters, to create our watercolour 'Peace Be With You' birds.

Year 1 enjoyed making our birds using the printing effect. We drew our own feather onto polystyrene and the used a roller to create the feather pattern.
