Yes It's Science!

Elm Class are enjoying learning about plants. They have labelled the different parts of a plant, been on a wild flower hunt and identified trees by their leaves.

Cedar Class celebrated Roald Dahl’s birthday by creating our very own Scribblebots.

This afternoon in Chestnut we have been celebrating the anniversary of Roald Dahl's birthday on 13th September 1916 with our 'Roald Dahl - Yes it's Science' afternoon. The children all designed and made their own Wonka chocolate creation and understood the difference between reversible and irreversible changes!

Today in Birch and Almond classes, we celebrated Roald Dahl’s birthday! We read some of George’s Marvellous Medicine and then we decided to create some of our own experiments!

For our first experiment, we put a gummy bears in a test tube of water. In one test tube we added warm water and in the other cold and we observed what happened to the bear. The next experiment, we placed skittles in a bowl with water and watched what happened. In our final experiment, we created our own volcano using vinegar, food colouring and bicarbonate of soda!
