This week we will be celebrating Chinese New Year (and also Pancake Day tomorrow!) We have a fun-filled week planned! We will be looking Chinese artefacts including chop sticks, lanterns, dishes and ornaments. This morning we have watched a story called 'The Dragon Race' and we learnt of why each New Year has a different animal representing it. We opened the 'Chinese Takeaway/Restaurant' and have made Chinese Lanterns! We found out that this year is the year of the Monkey. All the children, apart from Matylda and Cameron who were born on the year of the Tiger, were born in the year of the Rabbit! On Friday, the children have an exciting afternoon to look forward to. Jason’s Dad has kindly agreed to bring in some Chinese food for them to try! Lots of photographs will be added during the course of the week! I hope you enjoying looking at the photographs.
