History

Explorers

We have been learning about significant and famous Explorers. We can tell you all about Christopher Columbus, Captain Scott, Neil Armstrong and Alyssa Azar. They all explored extreme places and showed great strength and perseverance.

We imagined that we were Columbus and wrote messages in bottles explaining how we were feeling on our exploration.

Alyssa Azar was the youngest person to climb and explore Mount Everest. She had to wear warm, waterproof clothing and use oxygen to help her breathe on the summit. We dressed Amelia in some of the clothes she might have worn.

Seaside Holidays in the Past

During our home schooling, we have been learning about seaside holidays in the past. We enjoyed watching Magic Grandad and found some facts on powerpoints. We hope you enjoy looking at our work.

Abeyson has compared seaside holidays today with those in the past. He has worked very hard.

More amazing work from Samuel.

Erin has compared seaside holidays to those in the past.

The children have been speaking to their Grandparents about the holidays they used to go on as a child.

Spreading the word

During our home learning, we will be finding out about how technology has changed over the years. We have completed an enquiry map to begin our learning.

We have researched William Caxton to find out why he is a significant person.
