Living in the Wider World

We have learnt about deforestation and how this is affecting the World’s Rainforests. We had a great debate on this topical issue

We have been talking about plastic pollution in our oceans and identifying ways in which we can help to tackle this problem. We did a diamond 9 to show who we think is the most and least responsible for improving our environment.

We dressed as pop stars for the day to raise money for the Rock FM charity ‘Cash for Kids’.

After the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, we raised money to help the families suffering by creating words of support in loose change. As a school we raised over £300!

We dressed up for.Children in Need to help raise money for children’s charities.

Our school hosted a Careers fair for key stage 2. We visited lots of stands to find out more about different careers. We were inspired by a doctor, midwife, the police, a vet, Preston college, the army, sports coaches and many more.
