Maths No Problem

We had fun using magformers to investigate the nets of 3D shapes. We discovered that the net of a cube could look different.
To help us understand the values of different coins, we set up our own mini shop and used coins to pay for different items.  We worked on how much change we would get back as well when we used different amounts.
We have been using Base 10 materials to divide numbers into equal groups.  It started off easy, but quickly became more tricky as the numbers couldn't be divided equally, so we had to regroup a ten so we could work out the answer.
We are really improving at being able to discuss our methods and explain our thinking to work things out.  We can show different methods we could use to work out solutions.
