Play Project

PLAY PROJECT FOR KS1 AND LKS2

This project has been organised in response to some of our children struggling to access games and limited fun interaction with friends and classmates. Some of our children have expressed having limited play things as well as having few people to play with.

We feel strongly that through play, better oracy skills can be built up. Play can stimulate imagination and how we interact with our peers. It helps us better understand the world and how we can interact with it. Through strategic games, our cognitive skills and forward thinking can be accelerated.

Through play we can love life and love our school.

This project is adult led and we model how to play constructively and with generosity of spirit.

In year 1 we have been learning all about playing cards! We have learnt the symbols and the shapes in the cards. Today we learned how to play matching pairs! We are developing our concentration and memory skills!
