Faith's Award

09.02.2024 - Fire in Almond class in recognition for the kindness she has shown to all of our new starters at St Peter’s. Her parents and us as a school are immensely proud of her and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting her light shine. Well done Fire!

24.11.2023 - This week we have two Faith Award wins: William in Cedar Class for always being kind and considerate towards others. William has also gone above and beyond to promote everyone talking to each other following anti-bullying week. Esme in Chestnut Class for her outstanding charity work. At Guides Esme has been working towards a badge and for part of the badge she has been promoting the shoe box collections for charity. Her advertisement for support via posters collected enough items to fill 18 shoe boxes. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to both children on showing their Christian Values and letting their lights shine.

17.11.2023 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to two children. Bode in Blossom Class for being kind and helpful whilst out shopping by helping a lady who was struggling with her shopping. Well done Bode for showing your Christian Values in the community we are very proud of you. Faith is also rewarded to Ethan in Elder class who has kindly donated lots of toys, colouring materials and toiletries to the Samaritans Purse Appeal last weekend. He also wrote a nice letter to the lucky child that receives the box

13.10.2023 - This week’s Faith Award goes to Amelia in Oak class in recognition for continually demonstrating our schools Christian values. Well done Amelia! Her family and us as a school are immensely proud of her and could not think of a more perfect way of ‘Letting her light shine’.

20.07.2023 - This week’s Faith Award is rewarded to our Year 6 children for showing their Christian Values throughout the past 7 years at school. We hope this continues as they move to High School.

14.07.2023 - This week’s Faith Award goes to Millie in Almond class and Martha in Ash classfor assisting her sister. Millie has produced a little 10-page booklet detailing her desire to help children in the Ukraine. She asked her family if she could possibly sell some to raise money. So far Millie has raised £504. Her family and us as a school are immensely proud of her incredible work and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting her light shine. Well done Millie!

16.06.23 - Faith Award this week goes to Leila, for running ‘Race for Life’ with her Mum and they both raised an amazing £150 for Cancer Charity. We are all so proud of her for her compassion for this worthy cause. Leila you have certainly ‘Let Your Light Shine’

09.06.23 - This week’s Faith Award goes to Dexter. On the walk back from school, he saw a blackbird with a broken wing - she was running around and wouldn’t even try to fly. He loves animals so there was no way he could leave it to fend for itself! He spent over an hour carefully trying to catch the bird. Dexter managed to catch it and took the bird to the vets. He told the vets he had to save it because it was one of God’s creatures. We are all so proud of him for his determination and how caring he was!

26.05.23 - This week’s Faith Award goes to Sophie in Cedar Class for running ‘Race for Life’ with her Mum and raised over £200 for Cancer Charities. Well done Sophie, you have let your light shine!

19.05.23 - This week’s award goes to Ryan in Chestnut for showing good sportsmanship and supporting his fellow teammates. His parents and us as a school are immensely proud of him and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting his light shine. Well done Ryan!

21.04.2023 - Esme and family have raised £65 for Daisy Garland over the Easter holidays. They made and sold delicious cakes. Well done Esme!

31.03.2023 - Mrs Jenkinson would like to nominate Saqif in Birch class for the Faith award this week. During the PE assessment with CSSP he was cheering on and encouraging all his peers without any prompting from the adults.
A parent at Easter Bingo noticed an act of kindness by two of our pupils and asked if both children could be nominated for Faith award this week. Eliza and Laila in Elm Class showed kindness and generosity at our Easter Chocolate Bingo. They noticed other children hadn’t won as many Easter Eggs so shared theirs on their table.

24.03.2023 - This week we received an email from Stuart Clewlow, the Co-ordinator for the group "Chorley & District Support for Ukraine” It was lovely to hear this news and we are all very proud of Millie. Millie, her sister and Grandma have visited us at the 'Ukraine Unit' in Chorley town centre a few times. Recently Millie produced a little 10-page booklet detailing her desire to help children in Ukraine and her observations of our efforts to send the donations abroad. We are selling copies of Millie's booklet in the 'Ukraine Unit' and she has already sold quite a few copies. It is a great initiative by Millie and not only has it made her family proud but I also think the school should be proud of her. Especially at a time when there is a lot of trouble in the world, it is only fair to shine a light on someone when they do something good.

10.03.23 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Harper in Almond Class. Harper had 12 inches of her hair cut off last night so she can donate it to the Little Princess Trust who provide wigs to children with cancer free of charge. She has also been raising money to donate along with her hair and isn’t far off the amount needed to provide a child with a real hair wig. We are all super proud of her; you have certainly let your light shine  A Faith Award goes to Amelia in Cedar class. Amelia walked 50 miles on Sunday with Dad for Charity. Well done Amelia! What dedication that must have taken and for such a good cause. Amelia you have shown compassion, love and thoughtfulness for those who are in need. Your family and us at school are immensely proud of your achievement. Amelia you have certainly let light your shine. A Faith Award goes to Mollie in Almond Class. Mollie has been an amazing friend to one of her class friends. Mollie noticed that her friends scooter had broken and offered her own scooter whilst she carried her friends broken scooter for her. We were all touched by Mollie’s kindness and generosity. Molly you have certainly let your light shine.

03.03.23 -We have two Faith Awards this week! Orla in Cedar class. Orla for donating her own savings over 2 years, to the Turkey & Syria Earthquake appeal. What a kind and thoughtful gesture. Her parents and us as a school are immensely proud of her and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting her light shine. Well done Orla! Martha in Ash class. Martha has been an amazing friend living out all of our Christian values helping Mariah a new pupil settle into school life. She has taken Mariah under her wing and been a great friend. I’m sure her parents and us a school are immensely proud of her and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting her light shine. Well done Martha!

24.02.23 - his week our Faith Award is awarded to Aisha in Beech class. Aisha has been a ‘Superstar’ with her sister who has special needs. Aisha has played with her sister and looked after her on days out and also paid special attention to her when travelling with in her van. Aisha has also donated money for Turkey and Syria, she has been amazing . Aisha what a beautiful act of kindness, love and compassion. Her parents and us as a school are immensely proud of her and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting her light shine.

10.02.23 - This week’s Faith Award goes to Scarlet in Almond class. Scarlet showed kindness and friendship to her friends whilst at Chester Zoo and especially took care of Oscar and made sure that he was able to see all of the animals at the zoo. Her parents and us as a school are immensely proud of her and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting her light shine. Well done Scarlet

27.01.2023 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Evie in Oak class for her beautiful act of kindness. Evie’s nanny lives in Turkey and supports underprivileged families. Over Christmas whilst Evie’s nanny was home she shared with Evie how little some of the families had. With this in mind and completely off her own back she created a care package for a young girl and her older brother, consisting of clothes, toiletries, toys and some sweet treats. Evie even took the time to write a letter in Turkish with help from Google translation. This week Evie received some photos from her nanny of the children receiving their gifts which brought a tear to her eye. Her parents and us as a school are immensely proud of her and couldn’t think of a more perfect way of letting her light shine.

20.01.2023 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Dexter in Almond Class. Last weekend Dexter attended the Monster Truck Show in Manchester. Dexter wanted to take a truck along with him. When looking through his collection he realised that he had 3 of the same truck – Bone Shaker. So he decided to take 2 of his Bone Shaker trucks with him to the show and kindly gave them away to other children who didn’t have them. Dexter’s mum was extremely proud of him. We are very proud of Dexter for showing his Christian Values outside of school and letting his light shine.

13.01.2023 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to George in Birch Class. George showed much caring and kindness towards a little girl who kept running onto the pitch at football. George made sure that she was safe at all times as he did not want her get hurt. George also showed great sportsmanship towards his fellow team mates and received the ‘Man of the Match’ for great listening. Well done George, you certainly have let your light shine.

16.12.2022 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to William in Almond Class. William bought a toy for the toy service on Sunday to give to the children who otherwise might not get presents out of his own pocket money. William also kindly donated his own toys which were in nearly new condition to make another child happy at Christmas time. We are exceptionally proud of William for his kindness and thoughtfulness towards others.

25.11.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is awarded to Georgia Rose in Ash Class for showing her Christian values to others.

18.11.2022 - This week Faith Award is awarded to Ali in Birch Class for his kindness and thoughtfulness towards his older sister.

11.11.2022 - This week Faith Award is awarded to Finley in Elm Class. At the weekend Finley helped an elderly gentleman who unfortunately had forgotten to bring his shopping list and money to the shops. Finley offered to give him one of his favourite meals out of his shopping bag so that the elderly gentleman would be able to have a meal when he got home. Well done to Finley for showing your Christian Values. 

04.11.2022 - This week Faith Award is awarded to Libby! During half term Libby decided to kindly have 12 inches cut off her hair so that she could donate her beautiful hair to the Princess Trust to be made into wigs for girls who have unfortunately lost their hair due to illness. Like her family we are extremely proud of Libby for her incredible act of kindness!

21.10.2022 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to two children this week. Jasmine in Ash Class for being an incredible friend to others and Ellie in Chestnut Class for helping the elderly in the community.

14.10.2022 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to William for his displaying his Christian Values in the community. William went to cheer his Dad on at his half marathon last weekend. Not only did William support his Dad he also cheered on other athletes taking part in the race until they all past the finish line. William knew and believed this was a kind gesture to help the athletes. He congratulated the runners as they crossed the finish line and also helped his mum look after his little sister.

07.10.2022 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Luke in Oak Class for showing incredible sportsmanship at the school football tournament on Thursday evening.

23.09.2022 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Myla in Elder Class for being a kind friend to others and brightening their days. Well done Myla we are very proud of you!

16.09.2022 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Victoria in Birch Class. Victoria showed her Christian Values of love and friendship outside of school when she put a sign outside her house at the weekend saying ‘Free to a good home’ alongside her bike and scooter. The children who received them were extremely thankful! A very kind gesture to others. Well done Victoria!

09.09.2022 - This week’s winner is Noah in Elder Class for being very thoughtful towards staff. You make us very proud Noah! Simply wonderful and what an amazing demonstration of our values.

17.06.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is awarded to Noah for his honesty and kindness. Noah found some money which wasn’t his and independently handed it in to a teacher without being prompted by anyone. We are extremely proud of Noah for letting his light shine!

10.06.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is awarded to Jacob in Cedar class for improvement in handwriting and getting his pen licence. Well done Jacob, keep up the excellent progress.

27.05.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is awarded to Andreus for showing his Christian Values at home and turning a corner with his commitment to school work at home. Andreus is eager to take home one of our reading bears. Keep it up Andreus you are making us and your family very proud!

20.05.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is awarded to Elder Class for representing school fantastically in Church on Wednesday. We are very proud of all of them and the congregation enjoyed listening to the class sing. Well done for brightening other people’s day!

13.05.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is awarded to Eva in Beech Class and Orla in Almond Class for litter picking in the local area. Such a kind gesture and perfect example of letting their lights shine in the community.
It is also awarded to Eva-Grace and her little sister. They both completed the Chorley 2K at the weekend in aid of the Rainbow Hub, the charity their Mum works for. Eva-Grace asked to do the race so she could help disabled children to reach their dreams. They raised an impressive £335! We are extremely proud of Eva-Grace and her little sister!

06.05.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is rewarded to Joey in Oak Class for going out of his way to help a close friend in need and letting his Christian Values shine outside of school.
It is also awarded to Matilda in Cedar Class for reading beautifully in Church at her parents wedding and for growing her hair for charity. At the weekend Matilda had 9.5 inches of hair cut off to send to the Princess Trust. We are exceptionally proud of Matilda’s kind heartedness.

29.04.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is rewarded to Simon in Beech Class for going the extra mile with his family and letting his light shine at home

22.04.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is rewarded to Millie for creating 40 Easter bunnies with her little sister. Inside the bunnies the girls added chocolate and left them around the Chorley area or gave them to people as a random act of kindness. Such a beautiful and thoughtful thing to do and brightening others days along the way.

01.04.2022 - This week’s Faith Award is rewarded to Seth in Almond Class. On Saturday he represented our school in the cross county event and won a medal. He then took part in the Fun Run as he wanted to win another medal so he could give it to his class friend who was too poorly to participate in the race. A tear jerking moment of pure kindness. Well done Seth!

25.03.2022- This week Faith Award is rewarded to Catrin, Ella and Abeyson for representing our school fantastically at St James’ Children Conference on Wednesday. We were exceptionally proud of them all.

18.03.2022 - This week Faith Award is rewarded to Laila. Laila brought her cultural heritage into school to share with her class. Thankyou Laila for sharing with us.

04.03.2022 - This week Faith Award is awarded to Dahlija for showing her Christian Values to her class friends. During lunch times Dahlija has been spotted helping her friends zip up their coats and put their gloves on. Reminding us all that it is the little acts of kindness that help.

25.02.2022 - This week Faith Award is awarded to Mr Gorton our student teacher who leaves us today after a successful final placement with us teaching in Beech and Blossom. Throughout his placement he has demonstrated all our Christian Values and will be greatly missed by the children and staff. We wish him lots of luck for his final term at university before graduating as a teacher.

04.02.2022 - This week Faith Award is awarded to Beech Class for showing their Christian Values on Wednesday as they attended Church and for being extremely kind and considerate to others.

10.12.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Joshua in Oak Class for learning to communicate with others by learning sign language. A fantastic achievement for a Year 6 child to allow him to communicate and support others.

03.12.2021-The season of Advent within the Church calendar is upon on. Advent is a time of waiting and preparation. In our lives today, we will spend time preparing and waiting for Christmas to be upon us. The prophesy foretold the birth of Christ many years before in the book of Isaiah.
‘For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’ Isaiah 9:6

26.11.2021 -  This week our Faith Award is awarded to Millie. During kindness week Millie spoke to her family about gratitude and kindness. Millie wanted to say a special thanks to certain people. Last weekend Millie and her younger sister took chocolates to Chorley Police, Fire Station, Ambulance Station and our Lollipop Lady. We are very proud of Millie’s thoughtfulness and kindness! Well done Millie!

12.11.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Leonie, Thomas, Elizabeth and Riley for representing the school in a positive way when we had diocesan advisors and head teacher’s visit our school as part of a Diocese Leadership training course. We were very proud of them all.

05.11.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Maple Class. Maple Class visited church on Wednesday and heard about the churches charity appeal. The children have since been bringing in donations for the church of colouring books and crayons for the children’s hospital ward and emergency room.

22.10.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Martin in Chestnut for showing kindness to others and encouraging others to achieve.

15.10.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to School Council for letting their lights shine on Monday morning when meeting/interviewing the Deputy Headteacher candidates.

08.10.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Rosie in Cedar Class. She was nominated by Cedar Class for litter picking in the community with a friend. Rosie took it upon herself to litter pick she wasn’t asked by anyone. Well done Rosie we are very proud of you!

01.10.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Oak class who represented school with honour and pride on Wednesday afternoon in church. Well done Oak class you really did let your light shine!

24.09.2021 - This week our Faith Award is awarded to Leonie in Oak Class for showing fantastic Christian Values. Leonie baked cakes and sold them with her friends to raise money for McMillian Cancer. Well done Leonie we are very proud of you!

17.09.2021 - This week Faith Award is awarded to James D in Oak Class for calling the emergency services when he witnessed a car accident. Well done James for acting quickly we are very proud of you. Simply wonderful and what an amazing demonstration of our values. Well done James D you have certainly let your light shine!

02.07.2021 - This week’s winner is Cole in Birch class for he and a friend helped a little lost girl find her way home. The local Police came and spoke with Cole’s Mum to let her know that he was hero. Simply wonderful and what an amazing demonstration of our values. Well done Cole – you have certainly let your light shine!

25.06.2021 - Following the landing of the Air Ambulance Elm Class decided they wanted to raise money in their class bubble for the Air Ambulance. Elm Class decorated biscuits and ate them and donated money, £14.50, to the Air Ambulance. Well done Elm Class and this week you have won the Faith Award for demonstrating many Christian Values.

18.06.2021-   This week Faith is awarded to Harry A in Hawthorn who helped save a gentleman’s life in Chorley last Saturday. Whilst out shopping with his family he came across a gentleman having a cardiac arrest and he sought the correct help and also helped get the defibrillator. Harry and his families quick thinking helped save the man’s life. We are incredibly proud of Harry! It just goes to show that not all super hero’s wear capes. 

11.06.2021 - This week Faith is awarded to Simon in Hawthorn who kindly donated his old reading books which were in excellent condition to school. This was Simon’s own idea and we are very thankful for the kind donation. Simon wants to inspire children to love reading as much as he does.

28.05.2021 - This week’s Faith Award is awarded to Annie for her huge act of kindness. When visiting Southport beach Annie was saddened by the amount of litter which others had dropped! Annie kindly spent her own pocket money to buy a litter picker. Annie was excited for her litter picker to arrive so she could start cleaning up our planet. Since Annie’s litter picker has arrived she has been busy picking up other people’s litter. A huge thank you to Annie for showing true Christian Values. We are extremely proud of you! Keep up the good work and we couldn’t think of a more deserving Faith winner.

21.05.2021-  This week’s winners are Amelia Class Ash for helping her friends in the classroom and Matthew Class Oak for being polite and showing kindness to all of his friends. You make us very proud Amelia and Matthew.

14.05.2021 - This week’s award goes toBeech Class. COVID has been very lonely for so many people. Adam’s mum got in touch and asked if our children could kindly brighten care home resident’s days by writing to them. Mrs Casey kindly organised for Beech Class to carry out this kind mission and each child lovingly created postcards for the care home residents.

23.04.2021- The Faith Award this week is awarded to Livia. Last weekend Livia went litter picking at Astley Park. Livia did the litter picking because she wanted to help clean up our planet. Well done Livia we are very proud of you.

16.04.2021 - Faith this week is awarded to Elsie in Elm class. Following the death of HRH, The Duke of Edinburgh Elsie kindly created a card for the Queen. Elsie’s mum is kindly going to post the card. We are very proud of Elsie’s thoughtful act of kindness. Well done Elsie!

26.03.2021 - This week’s award goes to Leah in Elm Class who very kindly spent her weekend baking for paramedics and delivered her cakes to the Ambulance Service in Chorley. Leah did this very kind act with her Mum to say a huge thank you to the paramedics for all their hard work during the pandemic. Leah and her Mum intend to bake more cakes for other NHS workers in the future. Well done Leah we are very proud of you!

19.03.2021 - Faith’s Award this week is awarded to Alistair for creating a beautiful card for his Nan’s birthday to brighten her day. Alistair continues to show our Christian Values in school.

18.12.2020 - This week’s winner is Joshua for raising funds for Derian House in Chorley. Joshua and his brother have been selling GingerbreadTeddies and have raised an amazing £210 wow! Well done to you both .
11.12.2020 - This week’s winner is Harry in Hawthorn class who collected £40 this weekend for charity by making Christmas Cookies and Reindeer Hot Chocolate Kits and selling them to his neighbours.

20.11.2020 - This week’s winner is Alasdair (Almond Class) for making a get well card for his Uncle who has fallen and broken his hip. Alasdair did this without any prompting .

06.11.2020 -  This week’s winner has been nominated by her class teacher Miss Stephens
and it is Kira Sergeant, Kira and her sister have raised over £500 for Alzheimer’s Disease. A family member is
currently suffering from the disease and is in a home. Together, as a family, they walked from Barn to the Pike and back again.
24.10.2020 - This week’s winner’s are: Orla O’Dwyer for showing true Christian values and looking after Mummy when she
was not well. Ella-Rae Donohue-Westland for spreading Christmas joy to all in care homes by writing them letters to them. 
16.10.2020 -  This week’s winner is Millie Jackson nominated by her Grandma for helping to prepare toiletry bags for
 patients at Chorley Hospital. In Millie’s own words ‘helping people who are poorly’.
09.10.2020 - This week’s winner has been nominated by her mother and it is Amelia-Rose Thompson for donating her pocket money for those who are in need of food parcels. Amelia- Rose has also collected other donations to support this cause. What a caring and considerate gesture.

13.09.2019 - This week’s award went to Elizabeth Marshall who has shown incredible love, kindness and compassion to others.  Having always bitten her nails, she was offered the chance to pick any toy from the shop as a reward for stopping...but rather than pick a gift for herself, she chose to spend the money on food for the homeless!
