Unfortunately, rain stopped play today. We were supposed to play rounders outside. Instead we played 'Mat Rounders'
We had Brooke rolling the ball to all of the kickers. We used the same rules as normal rounders, but to make it safer, we used a soft football and we kicked it.
Today during PE, the children completed the first orienteering course. They had to use real ordnance survey maps and real orienteering pegs. We had some fantastic times and the children thoroughly enjoyed the lesson.
March 2021 - Orienteering
After our lockdown return, our children started their PE sessions doing orienteering. We started with a wonderful countries game. The children had to work in a group and look for their assigned country.

During this term we are lucky enough to have Pearl (from CSSP) teach us dance. When the dance is complete I will put the video up on here. In the mean time have a look at our pictures :)
Also this term, we are focusing on netball (when we can make it outside) learning about all of the different passes and how to defend our ball.
This term we are focusing on developing our fundamental skills. These are:
Running
Skipping
Hopping
Balancing
Throwing overarm
Throwing underarm
catching.
If the weather is nice why not go outside and help your child develop these skills further.
