Hidden Figures

We have been reading the text 'Hidden Figures, The True Story of Four Black Women and the Space Race'.  We have really enjoyed finding out about the role of NASA and the people who contributed towards the moon landing in 1969.  We have also been learning about segregation and in our writing, we wrote in role as Mary Jackson, an African American woman, who desperately wanted to attend Hampton High School so that she could eventually achieve her dream of working for NASA.  She had to apply to a judge to be allowed to attend this 'whites only' school.......
