Pentecost Spirituality Day

Elm Class developed their spirituality during Pentecost Day. The children enjoyed making flame headbands and kites. When they flew their kites they felt the power of the wind. Along with their friends in Almond Class and Birch Class they created a fantastic piece of artwork.

Birch class have had a wonderful day having our spirituality day celebrating Pentecost! We started off with a worship with Reverend Rebecca. We have learnt the importance of Pentecost by reading the story. We have also made our own kites and flame hat. Along with Almond and Elm, we have  created a large piece of artwork to remember the day. We  ended the day by having a party to celebrate the birthday of “Christianity”.

We began our spirituality day with a worship from Reverend Rebecca. Chestnut class have made origami doves which are a sign of peace; written Pentecost prayers; used oil pastels to design our own Pentecost-inspired artwork and took time to reflect on the meaning of Pentecost. This afternoon, we joined with Oak and Reception to have a Pentecost party.

Beech class have had a wonderful time celebrating at our Pentecost Spirituality Day.  We learned about what Pentecost is and why it is important to Christians, we created some artwork, wrote poems, visited our outdoor classroom to reflect on why the Holy Spirit is a gift and had a party in the afternoon.
