EXPLORING PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT
We chose our instruments and investigated their sounds or what they say. We used control to play 'Stop and Go'. We found out their names and sounds by playing 'I'm walking round the classroom, I'm looking for an instrument. This is a ... and what does it say ...
We explored DYNAMICS BY playing Loud and Quiet using a paddle to control our volume. The children also conducted the class orchestra.
Next we investigated which instruments had the longest sound on one beat and we tried to put the instruments in order. We learnt that instruments vibrate and that by dampening our instruments we can bring the instrument to silence.
