Worship

In Worship, we have been busy making paper aeroplanes.  This was so if we were attending the Pentecost service on the Sunday, we could take them along and launch them during the service. Each of our planes has a message on them for who we would like to pray for.

Making friendship bracelets

In Class Worship, we have been thinking about the Christian value of friendship.  We made our own friendship bracelet, thinking about how the threads have been plaited together to make the bracelet stronger. We reflected on how the plaiting took time, care and effort, just like building solid friendships.

As part of Holy Week, we have been learning all about the Last Supper.  We carried out some significant acts that took place during the Last Supper and reflected on how Jesus and his disciples would have been feeling and what they were thinking.  Two (very willing!!) volunteers  re-enacted the washing of feet and we all took part in the breaking of bread with some lovely blackcurrent juice to symbolise the wine.
Class 7 visited the Easter Garden in our school and reflected on the events of Holy Week and how Jesus would have been feeling at different points.  We looked at all the features that had been included in the garden and considered why they were significant to the Easter story.
Class 7 led a whole school worship all about facing a challenge and having courage to overcome it.  We found out all about the challenges that staff have faced in a special edition of 'St Peters' Mastermind.  We also told the story of Amitola, a Native American boy, who had to find courage when he found himself all alone in a forest.  Finally we recited a special poem together all about overcoming your fears.  We all performed brilliantly and said our lines clearly!
