Expressive Arts and Design
We looked at the work of the artist Matt Sewell. The children used 6B pencils, charcoal and pastels to sketch penguins.
We used chalk pastels to draw Emperor penguins.
We looked at the work of Wassily Kandinsky, particularly 'Squares with Concentric Circles'. This inspired us to make an Elmer. The children explored colour and learnt about primary and secondary colours.
We created a pattern using different instruments.
