Designated Safeguarding Leads

The designated safeguarding lead is the person appointed to take lead responsibility for child protection issues in school.

At St.Peter's CE primary school our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL's) are Miss R Brown  (Head teacher), Miss J Blackburn (Deputy Head teacher),  Mrs M Eastham (Head of Infants) and Mrs T Bolton (Family Support Worker).

The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding in our school in Mrs. L Benney.

Sometimes, as part of our duty of care, we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
