TEAM BUILDING
We played 'Treasure Chest', collecting items as a team. Then we could steal each others!!
In a circle we had to join in a clap with a classmate, completely in time then turn and try to pass it round the circle.
Then we tried to work as a team on the benches, first to put ourselves in order of the register then in birthday order. Only a few of us made it! Many of us fell off!
ORIENTEERING
More team work, more running and searching to match maps and symbols.
More team work, more running matching countries and directions to a new clue. Phew! It was hot work in the lovely sunshine on our enormous field.

CHORLEY SPORTS COACH FOR ORIENTEERING
Today we worked in teams to create body letters and spell 3, 4 and 5 lettered words. Can you spot 'MAP', 'CODE' and 'POINT'.
Next the real team work started using basic maps to follow and collect points. Leighton, Peter and Kaine read and completed 6 maps in record time.
CHORLEY SPORTS PARTNERSHIP AND YOUNG LEADERS INITIATIVE
Today Hawthorn loved working with some High School pupils who are becoming young leaders. We played games and activities led by the older pupils and built up a good sweat!
SEQUENCES OF TRAVELLING, BALANCING AND DISMOUNTING ON LARGER APPARATUS
We have taken all our skills and control onto larger apparatus. We still need to work on different dismounts and next week will develop full rotation as a dismount.
SEQUENCES IN GYMNASTICS - different ways of travelling, holding a 1 point and 2 point balance, star jump or 1/2 turn dismount.
FREDDIE FIT - HAVING FUN AS WELL AS KEEPING HEALTHY
Today Freddie gave us a brilliant fun session. We also played 'Head, shoulders, knees and cones!' This tested our listening skills and reaction times. As Freddie shouted the body parts we had to be ready for "Cones!" and then the first to grab the cone won.
We also challenged our hand eye co-ordination by throwing balls into a bucket.
