We have celebrated Earth Day today! We have learned that our actions have a huge impact on the world. This year’s theme is “Invest in our Planet”, we have all written a pledge to do something to try and change the world. Some of the ideas have been to turn the tap off when brushing our teeth, to have a shower instead of a bath or to turn lights off as we leave the room.
We hosted our our “Trash-on Show” this afternoon with the accessories the children have brought in! We all absolutely loved it! We discovered many of them have professionally poses and we might see them on a real cat walk one day! 🌍
This afternoon we had an exciting time! We had a “Where’s Wally Day”. We had to find some hidden Wally's that had been hidden around school! We used a map to find the clues. We then marked a ‘X’ on the map when we found each Wally. When we got back to class, we each placed a small “Wally” on each of the places on the map.
This afternoon we learned that a compass can be used to help people find their way. We learned a rhyme to help us remember the different compass points. We then completed directional challenges.
