Class Led Worship

Class 3 launched the theme of friendship in their whole school worship.

Class 5 lead our whole school worship on the theme of 'Encouragement.' Class 5 were trying to spread the word that within the encouragement from our family and friends, we can find the courage to do things!

Class 6 led a whole school worship on courage and facing fears. We told the story of Daniel in the lions den and then related his faith in God to someone everyone in school knows, Alan Hughes. Alan faced many fears in his life but overcame each and everyone by wrapping himself in God’s love. The children were amazing and told Alan’s story with empathy and pride.

Class 7 led a whole school worship all about facing a challenge and having courage to overcome it.  We found out all about the challenges that staff have faced in a special edition of 'St Peters' Mastermind.  We also told the story of Amitola, a Native American boy, who had to find courage when he found himself all alone in a forest.  Finally we recited a special poem together all about overcoming your fears.  We all performed brilliantly and said our lines clearly!
Class 8 presented the first class worship of the Spring term to the whole school. Our theme was 'courage'. We told a story about Moses where some of his followers showed great courage. We told our audience about peolpe who have shown courage recently and how we show courage in our lives. We wnded the assembly by playing the song 'One more step along the world I go' on the ocarinas.
On Thursday 12th October, Class 10 led the school in worship.  Our theme was kindness and we shared with everyone the idea of 'Random Acts of Kindness' .  This involves the idea of being kind not only to our friends and family, but also people we may not normally talk to or know very well.  We learned about what goes around, comes around and that if we are kind to someone, it is more likely they will want to return the favour of being kind.  We have set up our own 'Random Acts of Kindness' book.  We hope that the book will visit different classes so that everyone can share with us their own random acts of kindness.  We hope we can have an impact on our school, our community and who knows......maybe even the world?!!

Class 11 led whole school worship on this terms value generosity. We played 'Generosity Phrase' and contestants had to remember to...... say what you see!! We had great fun! With a real message of having a generous heart is worth more than any wealth!
