Practising our hop, skip, jump technique

We have been enjoying developing our orienteering skills in PE and learning how to orientate a map and work as a team.

We always have a good time when Freddy Fit comes to visit.  We take part in lots of physical activity whilst also learning about how to keep our bodies healthy.

In today's lesson we had continued to work on our team building skills.  We had to work together to find all the missing aliens in the playground and then remember their serial code to be able to read it back.  We had to listen to each other and make decisions about who would take on each role.

Developing our communication and team building skills in our PE sessions.

Chorley Sports Partnership came to deliver PALS training to the whole of Year 5. This is a scheme which trains us up to become a PAL (Playground Activity Leader) so that we can lead fun games and activities with the infant children.  We learned all about what being a good leader entails and worked with a group to lead a fun playground game with our friends. We can’t wait to put our new skills to use very soon with the younger children in KS1.
