French

After studying French numbers 1-10, we played ‘Bingo’ to reinforce our learning.

During International Day, we found out facts about The Netherlands and then had a go at creating some abstract art, in the style of Piet Mondrian.

Following on from our successful towers, the children used their sketchbooks and 2B pencils to sketch the Eiffel Tower.

The children enjoyed the challenge of creating the tallest Eiffel Tower using rolled up paper tubes. They realised it was much trickier than it looked and that team work was essential.

We introduced the phrase ‘Je m’appelle...’ whilst playing the game ‘Ou est George?’ The children enjoyed searching for George whilst learning how to ask and say what their names are.
