We are going to be finding out more over the next few weeks all about the issue of climate change and why it is a topic that has been featured in the news a lot recently. We begun by thinking about what we already knew about climate change as fact, what we think we know and what we would like to know. We discussed who we thought was responsible for climate change and how it made us feel. There were many insightful and interesting contributions to kick-start our discussions.
Trail detectives
We have been busy navigating our way around the United Kingdom. We started by using atlases to find the location of major cities in the UK. We then were set the challenge to pinpoint a variety of different landmarks around the country, such as Buckingham Palace, Lands End and Edinburgh Castle. It was quite a challenge, but we all really enjoyed hunting the locations down. We learned the skill of using an index and co-ordinate points to find places quickly.
