WHAT COLOUR SAYS TO US

Birch Class have built on their exploration of Patrick Heron's paintings by exploring what different colours say to them personally. We have recorded this in our sketchbooks.

We have also investigated using chalk pastels in our sketchbooks.

PATRICK HERON

Almond and Birch class (Year 1 and 2) have been looking at the work of Patrick Heron and how he uses colour. We have discussed what we can see in his abstract painting, what the colours say to us and building up our opinions about another artist's work.

We have experimented with brush sizes and selected our own colours which 'say' something to us.
