KS2 Brazil

Year 5 have been finding out about trade links we have with Brazil and discovered what an import and export is.  We have also been finding out all about Fairtrade in Brazil and how it works to support coffee bean farmers with getting a fair price for their product as well as ensuring better working working conditions for them.  We first of all decided what we thought each part of the production chain deserved if the coffee cost £1.  We were shocked to discover that without Fairtrade the farmer was getting a cut of only 8p.  It helped us to understand why Fairtrade is so important.

Year 5's fantastic Brazil homework
