Rock Around the Clock Day
In Elm class (Year 1) today in our maths lesson we took part in “Rock around the Clock” activities. We learned about the clock face and the hour and minute hands. We then learned how to tell the clock to the hour! ⏰
ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK DAY - WATER CLOCK CHALLENGE in HAWTHORN CLASS Y3/4
We have learnt about democracy in ancient Greece and how water clocks were used to control how long people could debate issues.
We have made water clocks in pairs and tried to fill with the correct amount of water for 1 minute. We timed this with stop watches and needed to adjust the amount of water to get closest to 1 minute. We all came so close!
