YEAR 3 WRITERS READ TO THEIR YEAR 4 CLASSMATES - Hawthorn class
Today Y3 read their fabulous stories to an audience of Y4 classmates who they work with in the afternoons.
During their morning literacy lessons, they have been read 'Black Dog', a story about facing up to your fears and not being afraid. With courage, our problems can then fade into nothing! They rewrote their own stories based on 'Black Dog' but changed the characters, the dog as main animal and situation the characters were in.
Y4 were impressed with their use of speech marks, paragraphing and description but most of all their thrilling plots.
We all enjoyed a biscuit and some juice as we sat back and were read to by our Y3 friends.
