Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, visitors, and volunteers to share this commitment.
If you have concerns regarding the safeguarding or welfare of any of our pupils, please contact Miss R Brown (Designated Safeguarding Lead), or Mrs S Nelson (Designated Safeguarding Lead), Mrs T Bolton (Designated Safeguarding Lead) or Miss Blackburn (Designated Safeguarding Lead)
St Peter's participates in Operation Encompass. Following the report of an incident of domestic abuse, school will be advised that the child has been involved. Please see school website for further details.

From Reception to Year 6, St. Peter's is committed to a Storytelling project in which all our children learn stories off by heart. Currently these are our stories:
Reception, 'We're going on a Bear Hunt'
Year 1 and 2, 'The Gingerbread Man' and 'The Three Little Pigs'
Year 3 and 4, 'Nail Soup' (performed for Harvest Assembly)
Year 5 and 6, 'The Day the Crayons Quit'.
If children can perform and learn stories by heart, then writing stories becomes easier, more fun and worthwhile. We learn all our grammar from the stories too - we have actions for punctuation and conjunctions which help us continue a story from beginning to end.
Here's some of our actions and videos of the stories so far.
