Grouping and Classifying

Ash class have been learning about animals that hatch from eggs. The children sorted different animals to work out which animals came from eggs. This was then left out for the children to complete independently alongside a small world sorting animals into eggs that hatch from them.

Learning Objective: Identify and name a variety of common animals including some fish, some amphibians, some reptiles, some birds and some mammals.

 

This afternoon Birch class learnt about different animal groups and what characteristics each group has. We then sorted animals into the different groups. 

Cedar class looked at a selection of rocks under the Easi-Scope microscopes before we began the task of grouping and classifying them.

Elm Class sorted and grouped objects based on the material.
