On Thursday 22nd September, our school council members were invited to Strawberry Fields in Chorley to lay a time capsule in the building which will eventually become a new care home for elderly people in the local community. They chose some fantastic items to add to the capsule to represent what life is like in 2022 including an older Nokia phone, a Covid leaflet, newspaper clippings and paintings of the Queen, toys, writing about us as well as our school badge. It felt very special to become a part of History and it is very exciting to imagine who in the future might unearth our time capsule and what they might think of life in Chorley in 2022! The capsule has been added to the part of the building where there will be a 'Ye Olde Curiosity Shop' within the care home and eventually when the building is complete, a plaque will be added. We are looking forward to being invited back next year when the building is nearing completion.
